red hot velvet cake with cinnamon buttercream
I made red velvet cake pops to bring to my cousins’ house after her twins’ post-baptism lunch. I ended up using pre-made red velvet cake mix because but I didn’t want to go through the trouble of doing it from scratch just to crumble it up. I did however make the cream cheese frosting from scratch (4oz of cream cheese + 2 tbsp of butter + 2 cups of powdered sugar + 3 tbsp milk). After mixing the crumbled up cake with the frosting, I rolled them into balls, threw them into the freezer for a bit, then coated them in melted almond bark. I’m horrible at decorating, but they tasted good.
